Hillary Clinton has said that she will not be joining Barrack Obama in his campaign trail. This could decrease his votes from women, but most likely will not be enough to have a big effect on his campaign. Obama has a majority of women's votes and Romney, who will most likely win the GOP, has a huge gender gap that he needs to commit some hard work to in the upcoming campaign. Romney has plenty of work ahead of him in an effort to secure female votes. Romney acknowledged that he will have a tough road ahead in the fight for female votes, but of course showed enthusiasm in reaching his goal. Romney will have to promise big things for females and somehow show that his promises are not simply an effort to get votes, which will be hard. Some Republicans have recently made it much harder for Romney to get female votes due to comments such as Rush Limbaugh's. Many fellow Republicans have said and done things that have turned female voters away.

Romney's wife has become a big player in the campaign an will be traveling all over the country to talk to women. And you can beat that Michelle Obama will be doing that same thing in order to maintain the female support for her husband. It seems that Romney will need to make up for his lack of female votes by gaining an ample amount of male votes.

The Hillary Clinton article is a clear example of dramatization because Clinton's presence in the campaign trail is not a big deal. Obama will still hold a majority of the female vote. Though Romney may recover some female votes, the recent activity of the Republicans and things Romney has done in the past will be a big factor in the election. Obama will maintain the female votes for the most part regardless of Clinton's appearance in the campaign trail; so Romney will have to make up for it in other ways.

  1. You're absolutely right. Romney will have to work really hard to secure the female vote in this election season. The reality is, there's only so much his wife can do to change that outcome for him especially as the media hones in on his lack of connectivity with female-gendered issues. One thing to make mention of is how accurate the polls are that claim that Romney is facing a deficit of female voters in favor of his candidacy. Head-to-head polls are not always historically predictive. Bush, for example, had only 37 percent of the female vote, but that percentage skyrocketed to 43 percent on election day. I do agree that Obama has more pull with the female vote than Romney does, but election day will be the greatest testimony of the female vote for Romney.
